Welcome quilting friends!
Here is where the quilting happens. Isn’t it wonderful that there are so many ways to cut fabric up just to sew it back together again? It’s the way you put it all together that tells your quilting story. Will you sew an appliqued pillow? A pieced pinwheel block? A free-form improv coverlet? Even though I won’t be able to tell your story, my weekly posts will give you the tools and inspiration to tell your own.
I’m excited to stretch my limits in quilting, combining colors, traveling backward and forward in time, and generally Playing in the sewing room. Let’s try out piecing and applique! Let’s go for improv! Let’s make small stuff and big stuff! In short, let’s get going!
In my weekly posts, I am going to share progress in my quilting and tips and patterns to help you with your quilting. We’re going to tackle quick projects for gifts and learning, projects that take more time but are oh, so satisfying, and strategies for what to do when you need to refill your creative well or get your sew-jo back in gear. Because I don’t know about you, but keeping that spark of creativity alive is what gets me through the day.
Your inspiration may vary, but I’ll be here to help with creative prompts and pictures of the Scandinavian themes, countryside and folk art. As this blog grows, you’ll be able to find patterns, tips, gift-alongs, and a creative corner where I’ll be showing what goes on behind the scenes at Cloudberry Quilting.
You can expect updates at least once a week, depending on the level of coffee available.
I’m so glad you’re here!
